Where are the right words when you really need them? A lot of us are saddened right now for the loss of one of Kristi's babies, in utero. We'll all reflect on the pain and fear that Kristi and her husband are undergoing now, and we'll all keep them in our thoughts and prayers. We'll all hope for the birth of two healthy boys in the soon-to-be future. We'll all say a silent superstitious thank you to whatever powers might be listening for the continued well-being of our own nearest and dearest. We'll all wonder at the mysteries of life and death, and wish we could do something to help Kristi right now. The reality is that she will be helped when she can hold the other two babies in her arms and start raising them. We all know some sadness when we travel the road with children; we hope Kristi can start reaping the happiness part soon as well.
You are so right. There really are no words. Every birth is a gift, I believe, and we so often don't appreciate how fragile life is.
