Abby looks darling even without the smiles. And don't you just have to wonder about hospitals these days? The one here released my MIL well before I thought they should, but it seems there was a humongous shortage of bed space. Hope things get easier for you soon.

Hang in there. What else can I say? Hang.... nothing lasts forever.

Love ya.

Sending get-well thoughts to your Mom . . . (and, yes, dreading the day . . . )

Plum Texan

I watched my mom go through something very similar with my grandmother...so I know (if mostly by observation) what a trial this is. The best thing I can offer is this: you're doing better by her than you think you are. I know it's rough...and you are all in my prayers.

And even somber, that granddaughter of yours is definitely a ray of sunshine. :)

Sharon, I'm thinking you need sunshine!!
I agree with the favorite blogging thingy. You describe my feelings exactly.
I'm in the same spot with my mom, except she is in Florida - so I just feel guilty all the time.
Your Abby is perfect!

Sharon, I hear you with the parent problems. Mine are having issues as well - it makes for uneasy days and nights - that is most certainly true. Knitting is my life line - my hands are busy and I can keep my mouth shut. Which can be a very good thing at times! Springtime and Abby - what a great combination!

Hi Sharon --

Hope your mom is feeling better soon. It's been a terrible winter all over as far as catching the bugs goes. I've been sick twice, and I'm never, ever sick.

Take heart. I heard birds singing when I let the dogs out this morning. We may have 4 feet of snow on the ground still, but spring is less than three weeks away!

Laura Lou

Running a marathon is sounds easier than what you are doing. Hope to see you on the 5th. GET WELL YOURSELF

Becca

Oh thank goodness you ended this with a glimmer of hope. I'd forgotten about the coming time change, and you triggered that happy memory just in time to give me the boost through midterms. Let's plan a "warm day o' fun" when it's warm enough to do so. Until then, the planning will keep us going through this dreadful winter.

i hate the time change in spring! yuck!!!!! but i'm glad you do. i have heard the birds singing tho, so there is hope.

Karen

Wishing you all the best for dealing with your mom's health. It's not easy. I hope she's better soon!

I love when the time changes in the spring. The days feel so much longer.
