As someone who is familiar with Ottumwa, Iowa I would be incredibly shocked if they had a yarn store. Real shocked. Like "fall over dead" shocked.

We were planning a lake visit, but Hubster's work has gotten in the way. Maybe next weekend for the lake. But then again, we just got back from a hot lake weekend, the camper AC only helps when you are IN the camper. The rest of the time, it's not much help, unless you drag the ocillating fan out of the camper and set it up behind your lawn chair. Camping? AC? I know, the wimp's version of roughing it.
Mostly we will just hit the new swimming pool at the parental unit's house. I knew they should have moved closer to us, NOT further from us. Are they trying to tell me something?

This year I'm sticking it out at home, attempting not to start my Norsk sweater till Sunday. With gas prices this high I think I'm glad to be home.
If you decide to use a yarn like little flowers again you might try holding another yarn with it. I used it in a felted bag and in a scarf held with a ribbon without too much fuss. BTY your trio bag looks great!

Amy

Going to cabin near Brainerd, MN. Also much knitting and reading, accompanied by bike rides, walks, and campfires with the family.

What are you going to read?

Sending my condolences. I'm afraid Blakesburg is out in the boondocks. =)

Something good about Blakesburg: you'll get to see Harmon. He's fun. And I don't know if they still have it, but the corn boil at Elaine's was the best night of the week. And umm... umm... it's fun to get rides in bi-planes... and... umm... there's the corn boil. And the coffee porch. And... um... we're driving to Texas and back twice. And you could live in New Orleans. Just think, you could be us or them. Doesn't that make you feel lucky? :)

I'm heading up to Petosky for a friend's wedding. Then camping at Sleeping Bear Dunes and apple picking on the way home. Yippee! Much knitting will be done as well. I will keep my fingers crossed for good weather for you. I went to Poolesville, MD last weekend to watch my hubby play some frisbee and it rained all day Saturday and was COLD. Got to hang with some college buddies under a tent though, so was still good times.

Vera

I have a crocheting class to teach on Saturday, and I simply plan to relax.

Love your Trio Bag. I made one last year, and use it a lot.
