Your daughter is right - your hair is beautiful. Now me, I colour my hair because I can't abide my grays (I've had a nice patch of them since I was about 17) but very much love the look of gray hair on other women.

monica

I love your hair! It's gorgeous! The Colinette yarn you got is very very nice.

Amy

I have three shades of hair! I pay for them too! :-)

Mindy

It was great to see you at the festival! Chey and I had a blast dancing to Diouf, and when I finally pooped out (I blame it on the bad hip) we had just as much fun watching everyone else rock out on the dance floor.

So you learned to crochet, huh? I think that's great! I prefer it over knitting any day, for all the reasons you mentioned in your earlier post (but that's just between me and you).

Angi

What wonderful thoughts on mothering a daughter! I sometimes comment that God knew I needed a daughter. He also knew that out of 6 kids I only needed 1!!!

Chris

Stitches is August 10-13. My recommendation is do not stay at the Hyatt, unless you enjoy walking a mile to get to all of the fun. Embassy Suites is a better choice. Off to reserve the rooms we need next year!

Susan

I hope I raise my daughter to be as wonderful as yours. She finally sit still long enough so that I could French braid her hair on Saturday, so I'm setting the foundation for her learning that so she can reciprocate some day. My natural hair color is actually streaked with a few colors (yes, one is gray), so I'm going to say it *is* natural and beautiful!

Carolyn

Oooh! A shadow shawl? As is Shadow Knitting? That will be so much fun.
I can't identify with the daughter thing, but will be getting a daughter in law next year, so maybe some of the same will apply. I hope so, anyway.

Bliss

Thoses classes sound wonderful. I have been braiding my daughter's hair for years - I hope I can look forward to some reciprocal braiding in my future. (Amen to the promise to pluck the chinsters.) Gray hair - eek. I have been quite gray since I was about 27, and have always colored it. Just recently I have decided to let it grow out naturally. I don't know who is freaking out the most...my daughter, my husband or me!

ann

Yay for baby girls! your hair looks wonderful in that braid - have her teach you how to do it yourself!

Joy

Lovely thoughts on raising daughters. As a mother of two, I hope I get to that point soon.......
