Not much knitting getting done this week on my part, but look at what my Becca has learned to do.
She's working now on a dishcloth. She can cast on, knit, and purl. She can recognize when she's made a mistake, and sometimes even fix it herself. She's learned to tink. Not bad for a few short days. I suspect when she goes back to school next week, the knitting will never come out. But that's okay. I consider it my job as a parent to
run my childrens' lives give my children the skills they need to get through life. If they don't use a particular skill, it's their loss choice. I've done my part.
We've had a fun week together going to Curves and yoga class, getting free massages at the local thermal massage bed places, going to the knit-in, and even housecleaning. This is the girl whose bedroom was always so messy that I told her if the house caught on fire, I was not even going to try to come and rescue her because I'd break a leg in the clutter on the floor. Now she's cleaning up after herself. She took out the trash and emptied the dishwasher when I wasn't looking. She's.....she's......I never thought I'd say this.....she's fun to live with.
Now my household of guests is stirring and I need to get lunch going. It's only getting crazier from here on. I'll give all the details early next week. Hope everyone has as great a weekend as I expect to have.
