Those evil Threadbear guys! Always messing with our best-laid plans. I love them though!

Allena

it's ok to fall off that wagon sometimes you just have to jumpback on! LOL
good luck with the new system! sometimes you just have to try and see what motivates you!

Marina

I have to agree with Allena wrote. I'm on my second yarn diet. This time, I'm making sure there are enough rewards so that I don't have to rationalize falling off the wagon.

Good luck!

Vera

I've given up on any chance of a yarn diet and joined the "Yarn Addicts Unite!" webring.

Come on over to the "Dark Side".

Am I a bad girl for mentioning this?

heather

Ha haa! I'm with Vera. I am weak, I'm going to the Dark Side.
I would never make it on a diet, yarn or body! But much good luck to you!

blogdog

As usual, I intend to try having it both ways. I'm staying on the "light side", but intend to go over to the "dark side" when possible. (LOVE that Yarn Addicts blog!) I know myself. I'll actually have better success at reducing stash through working on it as long as I keep up, but I need to only buy yarn for specific projects. Part of the yarn diet for me involves "no impulse yarn, no matter how many percent off." At least, that;s the rule until I drop my next 5 pounds.

Rob

"The Math" makes the vast majority of our stock 28% off retail (20% off the already-10%-off stuff) and makes the "Forbidden Five" (Manos, Colinette, Addis, Rowan, and Tahki/Stacy Charles) 20% off suggested retail, as we cannot discount their yarns every day--just on sales!

Bron

Hehehehe....As for me - I'm walkin' the line. A proud member of both Yarn Addicts *and* DKYD. It's all about balance. :::grin:::

Margene

Whatever works for you, grrl! ;-)

Sarah G.

I think your revised plan sounds sensational. Yarn is an evil temptress. So, what pray tell did you walk out of the store with?
