Glad to hear abandon has returned to your sphere. Now go out and aband!

Laura

Ooooo.... how refreshing and rejuvinating to take those projects that fill you with guilt and just eliminate them!! Love the colors for your new shawl! :)

Bron

Yes! Good for you. :) I've been doing much the same albeit on a bit larger scale. Clearing out & starting fresh is definitely good for the soul.

Yes! It's like knitting spring cleaning. I love the concept. I must go do this with my stash.

Bravo, Sharon! Not everybody would be as brave as you've been. They just shove the guilt-inducing UFOs farther and farther back in the pile.

You may have inspired me. The very first thing I ever learned to knit was a vest -- I took a class, and that was the project. I never finished it because I never wear vests. There's some really nice wool lying around unloved in that bag. Maybe I can join you i your newfound clarity!

A grrl has every right to change her mind (a dozen times if need/want be). Your choice is perfect (until you change your mind!)

Sharon, you are such a good writer. I really enjoyed your column. As far as letting go, this week I gave away my white turtlenecks from working for JoAnn Fabrics. Yarn, well, that's much harder!

Hugs, Lynnie

Karen

You just gave me the push to abandon a project in favor for another. Thank you. :)

Barbara Sylvia

I made the Cape Pointe. Love it. Easy to wear, especially since I sewed it together up the front, leaving it open enough so it is easy to pop on over the head. This makes it hands free.

General Ginger

Very pretty shawl color choices. You made the right decision. Its no fun forcing yourself to knit something that you really can't enjoy.

Michelle

When in doubt, start something new! Maybe that's why I never finish anything. I'm a very doubtful knitter.

Bonnie

I just wish I had the courage to do the same clearing out. Yesterday after reading your Feng Shui approach I went into closets and looked around at all my projects, I couldn't part with anything! It must be a great feeling for you and a fresh start!
