WOW! That shawl looks great on you. What wonderful colors and I love the little collar treatment. Great job!

Donna

I remember "This Is Your Life" - they still make it here is Australia :)
Delores is lovely!

I'm 30, and I know about This is Your Life. Either I'm just observant, or they did something like it on Sesame Street. And your shawl is beautiful. Every time you post a picture of yourself, I think, "She really looks like someone I'd want to know in real life." You just have this happy, glowy, good-person-ishness about you. :)

Dorothy

I remember This is Your Life and Queen for a Day, too! So, really - you are NOT the oldest knit blogger in the universe. But we may tie!! The shawl is lovely.

Vicki

I love, love, LOVE This is Your Life (hm, never heard of Queen for a Day). Never saw it enough -- usually in reruns -- and I still like that kind of show (that's why I actually watched Happy Days 30th Reunion last night -- and taped CSI.)

The shawl is just lovely!

Emma.

This is Your Life is still airing on British t.v. Dire as ever !
Your Dalores shawl is gorgeous, and goes really well with that fab jacket.
Great yarn, fantastic colours.I want to play in your stash !

Once again you have hit gauge on the first try (hitting the nail on the head had no knitting reference). I continue to run into old friends at one of my local shops. I think it's because these women I knew in other craft lives I have lead. Then, the amount of school related women I met up with at the shop astounds me (our school is only 3 minutes from the shop, so that should be a no brainer). And then there are the people who come up to me and mention that I taught their neighbor, family member, etc.. in a class. But the best was my husband's cousin and her mom who walked into one of my classes. Small world here.

Jane

This Is Your Life, Queen For A Day, Howdy Doody, Farmer Brown cartoons, Uncle Milty.. I can just about guarantee that you're not the oldest blogger around .. Your shawl is beautiful.

Hi Sharon -- the shawl is gorgeous, and looks particularly nice with that purple sweater you're wearing in the photo. Took a look at your sweater-to-be, and now I can't stop whimpering -- I want one! I want to shop for the yarn for it! You're going to love this one, and I hope it'll be a blast to knit.

I've been too busy and too tired to pick up needles since coming back from New Orleans, but that's what winding yarn is good for... progress without expending much energy.

Happy trails!

Angi

That cardigan will be wonderful! I do remember This is Your Life. It was a family favorite of ours.

Rabbitch

I remember that show! And your shawl is lovely.

Thanks for the very funny link to my "Death March" post. I'm really tickled to hear you're going to New Orleans. Where are you staying and how long will you be there? It's a great city, and you'll have a ball, even if you're there for work. Don't miss The Quarter Stitch yarn shop! It's on Chartres Street, just outside of Jackson Square.

Carolyn

Yup, you certainly throw up some tempting yarns and projects on your screen. I absolutely love your new shawl! You love all the same colors that I do. It's a good thing I live thousands of miles away from you, or I'd be over there running my fingers through your stash.
