great post Sharon!

Ok, you caught me, I have it too. Who would think a person could be too fair, but boy do I get carried away with it sometimes. I sit and argue with my husband for an eternity just trying to get him to agree to listen to the view that is opposite to the one I am supporting. I want him to see all sides. It's insane.

I'm going to be posting a link in my blog so people will see I am not the only one.

Glad to know I have a name for my disorder. But I am learning to overcome it right now because of the filth that is coming through on all sides. I am tired of reading the talking points and doubt anyone really has the truth, it is only the truth as they believe it. Plus, I find my day is so much cheerier is I stay away from all of the hatred. I am taking steps to just start making a difference in my community, which is what I have tried to do all along. So I choose action over apathy, but not activism (which has a bad connotation for me. Activism = Protest = Violence, in these current times). We can accomplish more by doing for others, instead of protesting against each other's points of view. Not trying to be divisive, just giving you another "side" to hear so that you can try to be fair about it. Aren't I evil!! No wait, I am a braggart, whew, I was getting my sins mixed up there. ;-)

Sharon

Chris, I agree that the word activism has both a negative as well as positive connotation. I also agree that action speaks louder than words. I would add that action needs to be "pro"active rather than reactive, and it needs to be constructive rather than destructive. Tearing down others is "action" but it serves no useful purpose, in my mind. I do not see your post as divisive in any way. (But if I did, rest assured that I would strive to see your viewpoint. :) )

My dad's a Libra - this fits him to a T.

Can't wait to see what you finally decide to make with the yarn - enjoy it! :)

I THINK; THEREFORE I AM
The only thing worse than disagreeing with my point of view, is being too apathetic to have a point of view.

Very poetic, that, Sharon. (your title, and a line in your post) Did you know you were a poet? It's beautiful. Just beautiful.

Boy, that Anne. She is really something, isn't she?

Kristi

Level 3 Wahooo! Where's a pic? ;)
