Tahoe arrived in my mailbox yesterday from Julia of Moth Heaven. This is the prize I won. It pays to read blogs, ya know! These are rich blues with lots of purple overtones, and a just a bare hint of green. They will become beautiful socks. Thanks again, Julia.
I went on a marathon finishing blitz this weekend, and whaddaya know? I've finished the New Century Poncho. It fits perfectly, and I am pleased with everything about it except the I-cord trim along the bottom. Part of the problem is that the thick and thin texture of Manos leaves the i-cord looking a bit uneven. I'm hoping that the "bloom" when it blocks will take care of that. But a bigger problem is that the i-cord is not lying completely flat. There is the faintest hint of...not a pucker exactly....but close to it. Again, I'm hoping that a good soak and pinning out will allow the trim to relax. But here she is, in all her glory. It's interesting how the camera captured that bit of blue pooling in the one sleeve.
My bandwidth troubles continue, although the projections have backed off a bit, to only 230% for this month. But I've heard from 5 other Typepad knitbloggers having similar issues, as well as storage space problems. We've all sent help tickets into Typepad, and we are certainly wondering if the glitch is with TP's method of reporting stats, rather than with our blogs.
I do have another question about stats. On my blog, down at the bottom of my sidebar, I have some coding that lists referring pages. Many of us have this on our blogs. But the numbers listed here have no similarity with the numbers that TP lists. According to TP, I get between 3 and 4 hundred clicks onto my blog each day. According to the referral list on my blog, I get 1800 referrals just from Black Dog alone. (Hi Rob :) Why this discrepancy? Truthfully, neither system gives me information that is useful, if they are inaccurate. I'm thinking I will take the referral list off the sidebar, unless someone provides a good reason for having it.
Now I'm going to stop pondering these internet mysteries. Lynn and I are going to go see Garden State in a few minutes. I'm going to take my Making Waves sock with me, and get back to working on that. I could have it done in a few days if I gave it some real attention.
