Could the awesomely cool LYS protection software also keep you from making a very very bad choice on yarn off eBay? You know, the kind of yarn that when you get it in the mail, you shamefacedly bury it deep in your stash, with some rationalization that someday you are sure to need puce colored eyelash yarn made from broom bristles?

Brenda

Very funny post, I'd like the software too!
HOT weather here, do you want me to send some down to Lansing?

Sharon

I would have said yes, Brenda, but after the fact the weekend actually was perfect weatherwise. (And otherwise) But thanks for the offer.

Sharon - loved your post today, you make me laugh- the idea of software for protecting ourselves from potential knitting problems is a great idea - but I have found I sometimes make my greatest discoveries from making a mistake and I'd hate to be protected from that. I am feeling great envy over your evening in the company of Meg Swanson - what a knitter. One can only imagine... and dream. What a wonderful opportunity to have. Love your blog - you seem so carefree and joyful with your knitting - keep it up.

Kathleen

Great post! I agree, I need software to protect me from bad eBay purchases! Your workshop with Meg sounds fabulous. I used to know her as a kid/teenager. I didn't knit back then--at least not unless my mom made me. I am itching to go to Knitting Camp as a camper rather than a campers kid. Have you ever been?

Sharon, I had the SAME experience with Norton. How frustrating!!

Bonnie

Sharon - you made me chuckle with your idea about software to protect ourselves. Unfortunately, your experience with Norton is so typical of today. I'd love to go back to the days when we could talk to a real live person instead of listening to a computerized message.

hahahahaha! Go to ebay!!!! You crack me up. Just unload the stuff, you say? So you can go back with your profit and try to spend your money there. Good Luck! I love the idea of your sidebar shout outs (thanks for including me, by the way). I also loved the poem you left awhile back. I had another one in mind to send you, but now I have forgotten it totally. I'll have to surprise you sometime in the future with one. Hope you are warming up!
