OMG! That's the same color of Bamboo that I've been eying at my LYS for several weeks now. It's so beautiful.
Didn't think about making socks with it. I'll see how you like the socks you're making with it.

Chris

Let's do lunch! Or actually dinner, since lunches are so hurried. What classes are you in. I have Shawl Collar on Fri. and Gansey all day Sat.
Love the poncho!

Brenda

Survived my first day back as well. As you said in my comments, hearing the alarm go off so early was the hardest part.
LOVE that yarn you're using for Making Waves!

Larry

I liked working with the Bamboo when I made that pointy scarf. But I thought it was more of a worsted weight. Does it come in different weights? Curious to see how it will hold up as a sock. But the colors look terrific.

Karen

The Bamboo yarn is a great color! The Making Waves sock doesn't get any easier as you go further with the cable needle...it's still awkward...I'm doing the gusset shaping right now on the first sock. I tried without the cable needle and all that happened was I kept loosing the stitches. Oh well. :)

Wow - it's amazing to me that summer break is already over! The Bamboo yarn colorway is great (as most of the other comments note). The cables in that pattern aren't so bad. Especially since they only crop up every 2 out of 8 rows!
Sorry about the scissors. (My mom had those little pencil-shaped short "snippers" confiscated last week, too.)

Kerstin

The airplane confiscation stories are the most infuriating! The stupidity of it all. I mean, you DO look suspicious but definitely not terrorist-suspicious. :)

Allison

Bamboo socks! When I saw this yarn at the LYS a few weeks, I just had to get some but it is still project less. Thanks for the great idea.

have you tried making cables without a cable needle? i'm going to use that method (or at least try to) when i cast on my making waves sox sometime in the near future.
