It is a never-ending struggle, isn't it? I try to limit myself to the storage I already have in place. That means weeding things out a continual basis. I have to say, it definitely makes life easier when "things" aren't getting in the way. Knitternet! Very clever. :)

Hm, well I knit and spin and dye and weave and bobbypin make and garden and sew and embroider and woodburn and draw and paint and.....
I have lots of organzing tips and such- I have to becuz I have a sweet but rather small room. If you want to know my system, tell me. :-)
My fav. organizational toy right now is the KNIT journal- it is so brilliant.

Knitternet? What an awesome word.

My apartment is a disaster right now, and It's just my husband and I. My knitting and crocheting are in small piles, and he paints and does graphics arts, and his projects are all over the place too.

I go into neat/messy cycles, so I just ride along with my moods on these, but I can tell that I'm getting ready for a "clean" cycle soon.

I too am obsessed with abolishing clutter. I read books on the subject and devote entire three-day weekends to decluttering. It makes me feel just wonderful to haul a bunch of stuff to the curb. As a knitter, I take a break between yarn purchases to knit up stash. I like to keep my yarn to one large plastic bin. I store needles in an old-fashioned gin bottle and often make do with a needle that's a size smaller or larger because I don't want to acquire another. Some people are obsessive pack rats, I'm sort of obsessive in the other direction!

Please bring the shawl pattern and yarn to Sheila's next Tuesday. My name in print, exciting. I'm not a pattern writer and it will be interesting to see how she edited my comments. Needless to say there was a lot of laughter from my friends (?) when they heard I was reviewing a pattern. Shows them!!!!

Fantastic entry on the Feng Shui soul living in a knitter's apartment. I share it. I live with my SO and his two teens. I own the most, and I think I have more stuff than the three of them combined.

I, too, share in vain for the perfect organizational item (handbag, bookshelft, etc) that I am sure will aid me in my quest to conquer the clutter and create a spartan and harmonious living space.

If one of us figures it out first, let's share!

Jessica

Thank you for your kind wishes. They are very much appreciated. I wish you good health and happy knitting as well.
