I hope you enjoy learning that you have motivated me to sign up for a "learn to knit" class (in August). I've wanted to learn to knit for at least 10 years and never walked into a yarn store and asked about lessons until today.

We're making a Koigu hat, with a skein each of solid and variegated yarn--I bought mine already. The solid is KPM 2339 and the variegated is KPPPM 411. The store clerk also found the needles, stitch markers and etc. for me. I'm really looking forward to learning to knit! So thanks for the inspiration.

Lots of fab knitting in gorgeous colours.
Couldn't agree more about variety and honey !
I like the sound of slothful...

Sharon, you were right about the yarn you chose for your Cloverleaf socks. It looks great with the Lorna's Laces! I'm jealous that you have so much done already. I still have to cast on. Happy vacation!

Until yesterday I was blissfully unaware of the brouhaha. I couldn't agree with you more!

Good for you for frogging the Colinette. My favorite quote about sizing comes from a very old Erma Bombeck column" "One size fits all what?"

PS. That entrelac Noro sweater is gorgeous! I just posted about falling in love (lust) with another Silk Garden pattern -- Knitty's Tilt. Everytime I think I have had enough of Noro....

oh rub it in will you - 2 months off! I worked for a local school system years ago and boy do I miss having the summer off.

If you have time and wanna take a gander at my blog I am having pattern issues. I ALMOST am done with the back of the sweater!

hi sharon!

i luv me a good conflict! anyway - i hadn't heard about it in my usually daily blog tour, but strayed to some other ones and saw a little of the discussion (but not the original brew-ha-ha). it's ridiculous! i blog more for myself than anything - it's a record of what i did, and list of links for when i am bored that i can access from any computer.

did you read when wendy of wendyknits had someone tell her it wasn't fair to show expensive yarns that they couldn't afford?? i mean really!! the nerve of some people!

ya gotta laugh!

Yay for a beautiful wedding! I'm so glad that things went as planned and the weather cooperated - and everyone got to dance the night away!

You go girl. Enjoy that VA-CAY. Yes, I blocked my CW on a plaid sheet. Read about that in the Best of Scarves and Shawls, Knitter's Magazine. The lines really helped.
