Karen

Have you ever considered sneaking up on IS....gagging...and then tossing in the closet? ;)

Brenda

I think I have similar conversations. My outer self is powerless to turn down chocolate, my inner self yells after it's all eaten.

ann

I think your inner self might be a marine drill seargent.

Vera

Talk about the chatter! I know it well. Great post.

Well, a common ground that both Selves might enjoy (and "enjoy" is where =I= start to just maybe listen a little) is another Michigan blogger, Julie Ridl at The Skinny Daily www.skinnydaily@blogspot.com. You can set it up to be sent as a daily e-mail (though the archives go deep - I'm particularly partial to the one on Buckeye Remorse) and just reading someone else who doesn't nag, has the same issues, backslides, but has some good solutions (read "=tastes= good)can be a useful tiny nudge. And for me, that's what's useful -- not a sermon, but tiny reminders from a friend who's troughing when I'm peaking, maybe peaking when I'm troughing...(though, poor soul, she seems to be doing it without contradancing.)

Amber

mmmmmmmm, chocolate!

godsend

I'm with Amber on this one! I can't ever turn down a good piece of chocolate.
